“The key word is Service. What are you going to school for? What are you going to do?”

What You Can Do
-
With our GO! READ project volunteers read to children in-person and/or remotely.
Reading to children helps improve their literacy skills but also fosters a love for reading from a young age. It enhances language development, boosts imagination, and strengthens the bond between adults and children.
By investing time in reading to children, we are investing in their future success.
-
Volunteers help to process new books and prepare them for community distributions across the State of Hawaii, Western New York and Internationally.
This initiative embodies our commitment to promoting literacy and education among young learners, regardless of their geographical location.
By providing access to quality reading materials, we aim to inspire a love for reading and learning in children from diverse backgrounds.
-
Volunteers provide support to adult senior care centers and engage in therapeutic activities.
We are dedicated to facilitating a multi-generational social exchange that nurtures the health and well-being of our kupunas, serving participants in both Hawaii and Western New York.
-
Volunteers help existing literacy programs by joining activities like the Literacy & Educational Fair, Family Reading Night, or setting up information booths at community events.
-
The Speaker Series offers a platform for individuals from diverse backgrounds to impart their wisdom, expertise, and knowledge to our audience.
Through engaging talks and presentations, our speakers share valuable insights that inspire, educate, and empower listeners. Inspire our next generation.
-
This is a FREE week-long summer camp full of service activities. Participants take part in hands-on projects that help their community, like reading to kids, planning service events, honoring our military and veterans, meeting guest speakers and so much more.
Participants also build important skills like leadership, communication, and teamwork. By working together, they form strong friendships, learn about community resources, and grow into compassionate leaders committed to helping others.
