“Eh, How You?”

The most memorable thing about Senator was jus the immediate warmth and Aloha you felt every time he walked in a room with his big smile and said, “Eh, how you?” Walking around the Capitol basement with him - and he knew all the tunnels and passage ways - we would constantly get stopped by Capitol police, workers and staff who just adore Senator, and he would not only know their names, but had a story about them that he would tell me as he introduced me.

He treated everyone with Aloha, no matter who they were or where they were from, and I definitely take that with me and strive to live up to his example.
